Your Role at Acousti
As a Drywall Mechanic, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and precision of drywall installations for our commercial projects. Working closely with a dynamic team, you will help maintain Acousti's high standards and reputation for excellence.

Responsibilities
In this role, you will:

• Read and understand project blueprints.
• Supervising relevant construction team.
• Measuring and marking the metal frames using chalk lines.
• Cutting studs and metal runners to the specified measurements.
• Installing metal studs to frames.
• Attaching metal frames with preconfigured horizontal and vertical wallboards.
• Always ensure compliance with industry and safety standards.
• Fitting and fastening drywall boards on the frames.
• Inspecting completed work and verifying it with the design and blueprint.
• Be able to work on scaffold, aerial lifts, ladders, and stilts.
• Be able to use powder actuated tools and lasers.
• Work indoors and outdoors.
• Must be able to work individually and as a team player.
• Maintain construction schedules including phasing.
• And other duties as assigned by your manager.

What We're Looking for in You
To succeed in this role, you should have:

• Proven experience in drywall installation and repair
• Knowledge of industry tools and materials
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings

• Have commercial steel stud framing experience with knowledge of material, methods, tools, and plans/layouts/prints involved in the installation of framework for commercial/industrial buildings.
• 4 to 5 years of experience in steel stud carpentry.
• Tools and transportation.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and stand and walk for up to 8 hours per day.
• Ability to pass a drug test.

Education Requirements

Preferred: High School Diploma
