Your Role at Acousti As a Drywall Mechanic, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and precision of drywall installations for our commercial projects. Working closely with a dynamic team, you will help maintain Acousti's high standards and reputation for excellence. Responsibilities In this role, you will:
- Read and understand project blueprints.
- Supervising relevant construction team.
- Measuring and marking the metal frames using chalk lines.
- Cutting studs and metal runners to the specified measurements.
- Installing metal studs to frames.
- Attaching metal frames with preconfigured horizontal and vertical wallboards.
- Always ensure compliance with industry and safety standards.
- Fitting and fastening drywall boards on the frames.
- Inspecting completed work and verifying it with the design and blueprint.
- Be able to work on scaffold, aerial lifts, ladders, and stilts.
- Be able to use powder actuated tools and lasers.
- Work indoors and outdoors.
- Must be able to work individually and as a team player.
- Maintain construction schedules including phasing.
- And other duties as assigned by your manager.
What We're Looking for in You To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Proven experience in drywall installation and repair
- Knowledge of industry tools and materials
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings
- Have commercial steel stud framing experience with knowledge of material, methods, tools, and plans/layouts/prints involved in the installation of framework for commercial/industrial buildings.
- 4 to 5 years of experience in steel stud carpentry.
- Tools and transportation.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and stand and walk for up to 8 hours per day.
- Ability to pass a drug test.
