As an Actuary on our annuity valuation team, you will lead development of Statutory and GAAP valuation for a new fixed indexed annuity product and establish the framework for Principle-Based Reserving for all annuity products. Additionally, you will be instrumental in outward communication such as respective Board of Director deliverables and communication of valuation financial results and insights to senior management.

- Actuary: $150,000 - $180,000plus annual bonus opportunity.
- Sr. Actuary: $160,000 - $190,000 plus annual bonus opportunity.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Develop modeling or risk assessment strategies including:
- Develop or oversee development of models for annuity products. Examples include Statutory/GAAP valuation, development of fixed indexed annuity valuation processes, and establishment of Principle-Based Reserves for all annuity products
- Assess experience and recommend assumptions used in models, actual-to-expected analysis, and other analyses.
- Stay informed on relevant modeling and risk assessment practices.
- Develop processes to routinely and efficiently report results. Communicate results and trends effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Peer review actuarial work of others as needed.
- Analyze financial and non-financial data to identify trends or indicators and makes recommendations related to management of the product or product grouping based on analysis of the results.
- Assist in the formation of enterprise-wide initiatives to optimize Mutual of Omaha's risk/return position reflecting changes in economic conditions.
- Assist in developing and maintaining an engaged and accountable workforce.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries (FSA) with relevant experience leading valuation initiatives or working with complex annuity products.
- Deep knowledge of annuity insurance products, asset classes, and stochastic modeling techniques, with the ability to apply these in real-world valuation settings.
- Expertise in statutory and GAAP valuation techniques, including Principle-Based Reserving and other evolving regulatory frameworks.
- Strong business judgment and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify experience trends, recognize when standard approaches need adjustment, and escalate risk concerns appropriately.
- Proven leadership and communication skills, paired with creativity, industry awareness, and the ability to drive innovation in valuation processes and team collaboration.
- You promote a culture of diversity and inclusion, value different ideas and opinions, and listen courageously, remaining curious in all that you do.
- Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.

PREFERRED:
- Knowledge of fixed indexed annuity insurance products.
- Experience within a valuation area applying applicable valuation techniques and requirements.
- Experience with Moody's Analytics AXIS.
