Scope of Work:

The primary purpose of this position is to perform a variety of supply technician duties for operations support of the CMMARS AV8B MCAS Cherry Point project site.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the management of expendable and nonexpendable supply equipment items for the project site through stock control, requisitioning, delivery, and inventory control.
  • Analyzes such factors as usage rates, inventory, seasonal demands, prices, special projects or program changes.
  • Determines quantities required and timely stock replenishment and rotation by use of experienced judgment, historical data, occupancy, and utilization.
  • Establishes and maintains minimum stock levels of all expendable supplies and amenities to assure adequate inventory of items to prevent work stoppage.
  • Manages stocks of perishable items to ensure that items are used before expiration dates. Establishes and maintains the appropriate security of high value and items subject to pilferage.
  • Maintains material safety data sheets (MSDS) on all chemical solutions stocked.
  • Performs pickup and delivery of supplies, amenities, and equipment at scheduled intervals to ensure an adequate stock at all work centers.
  • Salvages broken or obsolete supplies and equipment according to applicable directives and policies.
  • Maintains an accurate accounting and reporting system for nonexpendable property and performs routine phases of property management according to established policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for warehousing of expendable and nonexpendable backup stocks according to generally accepted supply warehousing and safety policies and standards.
  • As required, picks up various supply documents from warehouse office/remote terminals.
  • Properly sorts and/or distributes to appropriate storage area for further processing.
  • Maintains and catalogs files of items, description patterns, reference groups, military standards, specifications, cataloging manuals, and/or other cataloging tools providing for up-to-date information and easy retrieval without undue delays.
  • Ensures maintenance and preventive maintenance are performed on all warehousing equipment and tools.
  • Responsible for daily oversight of safety boots and glasses voucher program to include issuance and tracking.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Consistently produces quality products and service.
  • Completes all training within required timeline.
  • Performs all work in a safe and secure manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have a minimum of three (3) year's experience in managing and maintaining inventory and distribution of assets.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (Tier 1) background check to obtain a Public Trust.
  • Must have data entry skills and experience using current computer software applications.
  • Knowledge of office automation software (MS Windows, MS Office, including PowerPoint, Word, Access, and Excel) required.
  • Possess and demonstrate a courteous and positive attitude toward customers.
  • Must maintain licenses and/or credentials required for this position.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Must possess the ability to interact well with others in a team setting ability or alone and be able to change jobs on short notice.
  • Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities.
  • Highly motivated, flexible organized and must be detail oriented.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to maintain ability to access government worksite.
  • Duties will require frequent periods of sitting, standing, kneeling, walking, crouching, crawling, reaching, and balancing. Physically fit to bend, stoop, and lift in awkward positions and able to lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Must have practical knowledge of worksite safety, occupational hazards, and standard safety practices. Must be able to work alternate and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet the customer's mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to perform on-call duties when necessary and report to work within the required timeframe from notification.
  • Must have and maintain a valid state driver's license to operate a company vehicle.
  • Must have a safe driving record, as defined by Company policy, to operate a company vehicle.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a drug/alcohol test and a criminal record check.
