Position: AI Developer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated AI Developer to join our team and support the development and operations of our internal GenAI Chatbot developed by Cencora.

As an AI Developer, you will play a critical role in driving our AI and ML strategy. You will be responsible for delivering new AI capabilities to maximize business value and effectiveness. Your expertise in cloud computing and ML technologies will enable us to deploy advanced GenAI Chatbot features and other GenAI solutions that drive innovation and business growth in the global healthcare B2B marketplace.

Summary: Under the general direction of the Director, AI Platforms and Solutions Delivery, the incumbent will play a critical role in driving Cencora's AI strategy by working closely with AI Architects, AI Product Managers, and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with AI Architects, ML engineers, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful deployments of ML/AI workloads.
  • Research, evaluate, and implement AI LLM while adhering to reference architecture standards.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues within GenAI platforms.
  • Analyze business processes and data flows as input for model development.
  • Promote adoption of AI solutions through explainable techniques, training programs, and demos.
  • Establish development best practices for minimizing rework costs on AI implementations at scale.
  • Encourage innovation within the organization by fostering informed risk-taking.
  • Proactively maintain technical knowledge in GenAI and ML technologies.

Experience & Education:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of engineering experience with Python/.NET
  • Strong background in Cloud Computing and development with Terraform
  • Experience with LLM models and prompt engineering
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with DevOps Agile practices and tools such as Azure DevOps
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and strong technical communication skills

  • Strong knowledge of the conversational AI space, including technology, applications, platforms, and standards
  • Ability to independently research solutions, evaluating their validity in solving the problem at hand

  • Thrives as a cross-functional team member; can handle the normal give and take between team members and strives to resolve conflicting approaches through acceptable compromises
  • Solid understanding of business fundamentals and the role of IT within the organization
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with both technical teams and customers
  • Strong organizational skills with natural attention to detail
