Product Owner (PO) for the Operating System and IBCS Software Applications (OSA-2)

Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, seeks candidates for a Product Owner (PO) for the Operating System and IBCS Software Applications (OSA-2) to support the PEO MS, Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office. This position is based in Huntsville, AL.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

• Serve as the Product Owner (PO) for the Operating System and IBCS Software Applications (OSA-2) team.
• Prioritize and validate development efforts related to the Operating System and its supporting applications.
• Review and interpret Systems Engineering concepts, designs, and algorithms for secure systems and provide guidance to the development team.
• Coordinate closely with the Cybersecurity team to maintain a hardened cyber posture across system networks.
• Collaborate with Program Management to establish priorities for capability enhancements and defect resolution during each product increment and sprint.
• Deliver technical briefings, demonstrations, and strategic advisement to leadership.
• Report on system status, recommended courses of action, performance risks, competing capabilities, and mission impact.

Required Experience:

• Bachelor's degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, science, or mathematics.
• Minimum of 7 years of combined Government/DoD experience performing relevant duties.
• Strong understanding of Operating Systems (Linux and Windows), OS-related development tools, and networking fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Zero Trust security models and IBCS-supportive software application operability and installation.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated ability to work directly with Agile software development teams to meet program objectives and deadlines.
• Solid interpersonal skills to interface with development teams, customers, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS systems.
• Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
• Agilist certification.
• Ability to champion ideas and architecture with enthusiasm, critical thinking, and a strong team mindset.
