Accounting Analyst
Position Overview

At Aurora Flight Sciences, we design, build, and fly advanced aircraft and enabling technologies from concept to reality. We are searching for a talented and self-motivated Accounting Analyst to help us create the future of flight. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

Responsibilities

- Researches, prepares, and reconciles data and financial reporting in support of the accounting team.
- Responsible for processing of high-volume accounts payable invoices and internal financial payments in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner.
- Resolves a variety of internal and external inquiries concerning account status, including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to appropriate persons.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Support the execution of month-end, quarterly and year-end close activities, accounting reporting and other support tasks.
- Supports weekly supplier payment process.
- Supports the maintenance and process improvements initiatives related to internal accounting tools and processes.
- Performs other duties as required to support the Accounting Department.

Minimum Requirements

--Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. 4 years' related work experience).
- Communicates effectively (verbal and written) with teammates and others to gather information and effectively present results and recommendations.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, meet deadlines and follow up on pending issues.
- Must demonstrate attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments or projects simultaneously to drive results.
- Open to change and willing to learn new skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
- Previous or relevant experience in accounting or in the management of supplier payments.
- Must be a US Person.

Preferred Requirements

- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- 2+ years of AP experience in a government contracting environment.
- Familiarity with SAP ByDesign and/or S4Hana.
- Background with payables and receivables.

Physical Requirements

-Ability to work on-site in Manassas, VA with some flexibility to work remote 1-2 days per week.

Salary Range (Annualized USD)

  • Minimum Range: $46,000.00 to $82,000.00
  • Maximum Range: $46,000.00 to $82,000.00
