This position supports the Latin American & Caribbean ("LAC") Business Unit and will be responsible for sales forecasting and overall LAC P&L management including the Long-Range Plan, Annual Operating Plan and forecasts for the Business Unit. This position is a key advisor to the SVP - Managing Director LAC, including the assessment of new market expansion opportunities and enabling growth in key markets such as Mexico and Brazil. The position will also work closely with LAC team and Franchisees to have a thorough understanding of the business, maximize profitability and identify opportunities for growth as well as supporting decisions regarding advertising and promotions. The position will provide financial updates for specified client groups, including reporting monthly actuals, tracking and analyzing General & Administrative expenses and performing various other key ad-hoc analyses. This position will report directly to the CFO-International and also be responsible for managing the Senior Financial Analyst-LAC.

Responsibilities

Prepare and compile monthly detailed financial results and analysis for presentation to the LAC and International leadership teams. This will include variance explanations versus forecast, prior year, and the annual operating plan.

Lead the preparation and analysis of the Annual Operating Plan and interim forecasts for the LAC Business Unit, including but not limited to sales, headcount reporting and analysis of General & Administrative spend / forecast across multiple functional partners.

Provide financial analysis and insights related to sales performance, promotional effectiveness, and pricing recommendations in coordination with the Operations and Marketing teams.

Works closely with cross functional partners and franchisees to assess financial health of the LAC franchise system; recommends action plans to maximize restaurant level profitability.

Partner closely with LAC leadership to assess new market expansion opportunities, which entails analysis of market sales potential, restaurant profit, new restaurant development payback, and Company ROI on market investments. Support activation of new markets by consulting with the LAFTTR (Legal, Accounting, Tax, Treasury and Risk) teams to establish new structures and processes for each market. This will include (but not limited to); setting up required structures and process for franchise fees (Royalties, Sourcing Fees, Advertising and Tech Fees), supporting menu execution, and partnering with marketing and supply chain on targeted input costs.

Identify and execute process improvement opportunities that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function. Prepare ad-hoc analyses to support key business decisions.

Prepare analysis and recommendations to brand and field leadership, as well as franchisees

Develop recommendations for strategic alternatives to current business model and programs based on benchmarking/competitive analyses (sales, development programs, restaurant design, operations, food or labor management, G&A, pricing, products, etc.

Develops budgeting guidelines and assumptions and tracks actual performance vs. plan across a variety of key metrics

General process improvements to drive efficiencies in the department



What we expect from you
Education: Bachelors Degree

Additional education information (major, etc.): Finance, Accounting, or related field

Solid knowledge and experience in the development and application of financial, analytical and budgetary techniques. Strong working knowledge of GAAP, operations, supply chain, and financial analysis.

Proficient in Spanish (Portuguese a plus)

Experience with financial modeling, management reporting systems and computer applications. Ability to create and manage databases and Excel based financial models.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interpret results, understand implications and communicate to business users.

5+ years of progressive experience in commercial finance roles (marketing, operations or development finance, or supporting growth initiatives)

Experience in multi-unit restaurant and/or retail environment.

The base pay range for this position is listed below. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and budget for the open position and also may vary depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other relevant factors. This range does not include an estimated value for any benefits, bonus, or other incentives that may be applicable based on position. * The target annual bonus for this role is XX% of annualized base salary, based on actual company and personal performance.
