What You'll Do:
The Network Engineer position is part of People's technical team and is expected to lead engineering design, implementation and solution development. This position will also oversee and approve network design and solutions recommended by other staff engineers.
The responsibilities include the following services: WAN/LAN network design/administration, virtualization, enterprise wireless, cloud architecture/design, SAN fiber, network load balancers, business continuity/disaster recovery and performance tuning/monitoring. The technologies supported include Cisco (ISE/PRIME/Switches/Routers), Palo Alto, Nexus, Avaya, Netmotion and F5.

What you'll Bring:
A 4-year degree in Information Technology / Computer Science field
A minimum of 7 years' experience in network engineering
A Cisco professional level cert - CCNA
Additional certs - (CCDP/CCNP/CCDI/CCIE) are a plus.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Deep understanding of the following: BGP, OSPF, FHRP's, SAN networking (NPIV, zoning, etc.), QoS, Network design and standards, VRF-Lite, VDC, Fabric-Path, Enterprise wireless - 802.11g/n/ac, VLAN's, port trunking, and EtherChannel.
Expert level in Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts with hands on experience.
Proficient in VPN technologies utilizing IPSEC and SSL.
Excellent problem solving and organizational skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Perform sedentary work- exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
