What you will do:

The Prevailing Wage Analyst is responsible for conducting thorough audits and ensuring compliance with applicable wage laws and regulations. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of payroll practices and safeguarding the company against potential legal risks.

How you will do it:

  • Conduct regular audits of payroll records and employee classifications to ensure compliance with prevailing wage regulations.
  • Analyze wage data and prepare reports outlining findings and recommendations for compliance improvements.
  • Collaborate with Lead Prevailing Wage Analyst, Legal, HR and finance teams to ensure accurate wage reporting and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor changes in prevailing wage laws and regulations to ensure the company remains compliant.
  • Provide training and guidance to internal teams regarding prevailing wage laws and compliance best practices.
  • Support external audits and respond to inquiries from regulatory bodies as needed.
  • Work with Lead Prevailing Wage Analyst to maintain best practices, department policies, prevailing wage standards and guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the compliance efforts of the organization.

What we look for:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, human resources, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll auditing or regulatory compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of prevailing wage laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other data analysis tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

Experience in a government contracting environment
