Know that this is a challenging role. You'll be working in a demanding, diverse and complex environment and the volume of providers needing validation is growing. The challenge in this position involves determining whether submissions can be automated into the system by reviewing and validating information with provider intake.

Positions in this function are responsible for the installation and administration of assigned contracts, including, but not limited to: structure and billing set up, eligibility collection, database loading, and preparation of plan materials such as administrative documents and provider education materials. Positions are also responsible for overall provider contract and amendment loading and processing using various databases. May include auditing contract loads for adherence to quality measurers and reporting standards.

This position is full-time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given business need, to work occasionally overtime or weekends.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist with setting up plan structure and billing, eligibility collection and database loading
• Prepare materials such as plan documents and provider education aids
• Accurately load contract amendments
• Audit contract loads for adherence to quality measures and reporting standards
• Escalate more complex problems to supervisor level
• Recommend methods to improve processes used by department

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
• Must be 18 years of age OR older
• 3+ years of work experience in a corporate setting with 2+ years in managed care or medical insurance experience (can include credentialing providers, provider relations, medical billing, provider administration)
• 2+ years' experience in a role requiring strong prioritization/organizational skills and strong interpersonal skills including telephone etiquette
• Basic level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
• Ability to work full-time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Telecommuting Requirements:

• Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
• Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
• Must live in a location that there is a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

The hourly range for this role is $16.88 to $33.22 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
