Your Role

We are seeking a professional with a passion for experimentation, innovation, and problem solving to join our Design Technology team. As a Design Technology Manager located in our incredible Phoenix office, your role will be on promoting, implementing, and elevating our BIM, Computational and Visualization workflows and protocols. In partnership with the SW Regional Design Technology leadership, you will ensure the deployment of initiatives to elevate Design Technology fluency and capabilities to projects and to the Phoenix office.

This is a multifaceted role that provides vision, leadership, strategic value and deep tactical expertise in the design technology and digital project delivery space. You will use your soft skills, relationship building and technical expertise to drive with confidence process innovation, optimization, and digital platforms implementation in partnership with your fellow Regional and Global Design Technology community.

You will maintain the lines of communication with office leaders, studio leaders and project teams.You will also establish goals and project plans in support of Global, Regional and office objectives, as well as monitoring and reporting on progress. You will establish, interpret, and communicate changes in guidelines, policies, procedures, and other related matters as well as acting as a mentor to project teams on the best Design Technology practices through the lifecycle of a project.

What You Will Do

  • Design Technology process innovation, creation, and implementation.

  • Subject Matter Expert on agile digital project delivery to project teams.

  • Project Technology Execution Plan development, implementation, and support.

  • Development, implementation and support of tools, templates, and workflows.

  • Champion digital transformation and cultural change to project teams, the office and the region.

  • Collaborate with Regional Design Technology leaders on requirements and priorities.

  • Participate in establishing and driving the Design Technology roadmap for the Phoenix office.

  • Lead cultural, process-driven, and technical training in Design Technology.

  • Research emerging technologies and define use-cases for implementation on projects.

  • Partner with Design Synergies and design practitioners in the Phoenix office.

  • Develop and strengthen relationships with office and studio leaders by improving communication, transparency, and involvement at project start up.

  • Work with the Regional Design Technology Director to collect project metrics and establish reporting of key performance indicators.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent with 10+ years of experience in AEC/O space.

  • Experience working in Architecture or related industries, with detailed knowledge of project processes, milestones, and deliverables.

  • Documented progressive growth and experience in leading / supporting Design Technology and innovative framework / workflows in project delivery.

  • Expert in design authoring technology platforms in areas of implementation, practice, and development for Autodesk Revit, and Navisworks.

  • Expert in implementing and supporting cloud-based platforms for design collaboration such as BIM 360 and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).

  • Entrepreneurial spirit that embraces change and constantly seeks out new opportunities.

  • Articulate communicator with strong story-telling ability to push new innovative concepts and ideas in a highly creative culture.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to listen and drive consensus through relationship building and ability to win the trust of teammates and project teams.

  • Highly desired understanding of and experience in computational design platforms and visual programming such as Rhino, Grasshopper and Dynamo.

  • Highly desired experience in interoperability integration with a visualization pipeline and VR/AR hardware and software including VRay, 3DS Max and Enscape, as well as generative A.I.

*This is not a remote position. The successful candidate is expected to be in our Phoenix office.*
