Location: This is a hybrid (virtual/onsite) position with required onsite days on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and may be assigned to any Consumers Energy Service Center located throughout Michigan's lower Peninsula. The Senior Corrosion & Integrity Engineer is responsible for performing Corrosion Control and/or Direct Assessment (DA) work to ensure compliance with the Pipeline Integrity rules, Corrosion Control regulations and NACE standards. The Corrosion & Integrity Engineer will be responsible for building, managing, and analyzing data collected from multiple sources to be used in Corrosion Control (Internal Corrosion (IC), External Corrosion (EC) or Cathodic Protection (CP)) or DA Analytical Models (IC, EC, or Stress Corrosion Cracking (SCC)), evaluate the remaining strength of pipelines and the risk/threat on our pipelines per Company or NACE guidelines. The Senior Corrosion & Integrity Engineer will maintain current standards and develop new standards to align with changes in regulations and be a representative for internal/external audits (MPSC). They will also develop and administer training for technicians and other employees for corrosion related topics, develop plans to remediate and or repair the cathodic protect system and/or pipeline, provide oversight of contractors and internal employees performing corrosion control surveys, selection of inspection sites (IC, EC, SCC, disbanded coatings, coating shorts, etc.), manage and report on the completion of multiple projects, and develop Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).
