Clinical Research Coordinator I

We are conducting a clinical study to evaluate the role of a new treatment in thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP), a rare hematologic condition. The Clinical Research Coordinator may be responsible for assisting in the recruiting and consenting of participants, scheduling study visits, assisting in the collection of clinical data and samples, managing and processing recorded data, and assisting in administrative tasks related to the studies. The Clinical Research Coordinator will report to the Project Managerworking with Dr. Pavan Bendapudi in the Department of Pathology. The Clinical Research Coordinator will receive training and support from current study staff, as well as guidance and supervision of the Principal Investigator and Project Manager. They will participate in laboratory and departmental seminars, journal-clubs, and weekly laboratory meetings.

The clinical research coordinator will be primarily responsible for the implementation of research studies. Responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and recruiting subjects for studies.
  • Scheduling of study visits, including coordinating schedules of subjects and all staff members involved.
  • Assisting in the collection of clinical data and samples, which may include acquiring past medical records and administering study questionnaires.
  • Performing study procedures, which may include obtaining informed consent and shipping of samples.
  • Maintain study-related records

Additional duties include:

  • Data entry, data analysis, and other research related duties as needed.
  • Limited night and weekend work may be required, which will be eligible for overtime pay.

  • Computer literacy in administrative software (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint).

Education
Bachelor's Degree Science required
