Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Sr. Data Scientist to join our growing operations team in Milwaukee, WI. Your Role on Our Team:

Milwaukee Tool values candidates who have a strong focus on business acumen. As a Sr. Data Scientist on our Global Operations team, you will develop machine learning solutions to prevent line-down events, optimize efficiency, and provide real-time production alerts. You will deploy predictive maintenance models, automate defect detection, and integrate AI with manufacturing equipment. Your work will focus on scalable data pipelines, edge-based anomaly detection, and high-quality data infrastructure for faster decision-making.

You'll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:

* Lead cross-functional projects: Partner with global teams to develop data-driven solutions that prevent downtime, improve quality, and optimize global manufacturing and service operations.

* Enable vision solutions in operations environments: Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate production and service requirements into automated vision machine learning solutions to improve operations process efficiency, product quality, and diagnostics standards for the global team.

* Develop real-time data pipelines: Build scalable streaming architectures using Python and Spark for low-latency analytics, anomaly detection, and proactive monitoring around the world.

* Optimize global manufacturing with AI: Analyze data to detect anomalies, predict line-down events, and alert production leaders to prevent disruptions.

* Establish best practices and standards: Create and maintain thorough, high-quality documentation of methodologies, processes, and insights to ensure reproducibility and facilitate cross-team collaboration.

* Collaborate globally: Partner with international teams to implement data-driven solutions, integrate with manufacturing systems, and support deployments, requiring up to 10% international travel.

* Mentor and support team members: Provide guidance and share knowledge to strengthen data science capabilities.

* Other duties as assigned: Contribute to various tasks and projects as needed to support the team.

The TOOLS you'll bring with you:

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.

* 5+ years of experience in operations, data engineering, data science or a combination thereof.

* Demonstrated proficiency in statistical modeling, forecasting methods, and machine learning algorithms using Python, R, SQL, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Spark.

* Experience designing scalable CI/CD pipelines using MLFlow and related tools to automate the tracking, versioning, deployment, and monitoring of machine learning models across staging and production environments.

* Experience in training and deploying machine learning models and data solutions in cloud environments, particularly Azure.

* Hands-on expertise using Azure Data Factory or Apache Tools (NiFi, Airflow) for orchestrating and automating data workflows.

* Strong background in developing, optimizing, and maintaining real-time streaming and batch ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and Spark, preferably with Databricks.

* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain complex analyses to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

* Experience with data intelligence solutions including reports, dashboards, scorecards, and data visualizations, ideally in Power BI.

* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to tackle complex data challenges and deliver actionable insights.

Other TOOLS we prefer you to have:

* Experience with Containerized Applications using Docker

* Experience with C#, React, or user interface frameworks

* Experience with edge devices using vision solutions

* Experience with deploying machine learning models and monitoring technologies in edge devices
