The Multi-Regional Clinical Trials Center (MRCT Center) of Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard is a research and policy center focused on improving the design, conduct, and oversight of multi-regional clinical trials, with a particular focus on trials sited in or involving the developing world. We function as an independent convening group to bring together collaborative multidisciplinary teams to identify expert stakeholders from industry, academia, advocacy groups, nonprofit organizations, and regulatory agencies to address critical issues in the conduct and oversight of clinical trials. Our efforts have resulted in improved clinical research practices, greater transparency, and improved safety for research participants.
The MRCT Center resides within the Division of Global Health Equity (DGHE). DGHE fosters the support and coordination of training, research, and service to reduce disease burden disparities and improve treatment outcomes at home and abroad. DGHE is the academic and administrative home of the Multi-Regional Clinical Trials Center.
The Research Assistant (RA) will support the Principal Investigator (PI) and various research activities, including researching, writing, and analysis. Primary responsibilities will include conducting background research, literature reviews, coding data and analysis, and contributing to ongoing projects and various written materials. MRCT Center projects are related to the ethical, regulatory, and practical challenges of global clinical research. The RA position will support specific projects as agreed upon with MRCT Center leadership.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support research and policy activities as defined by the Principal Investigator (PI). Specific tasks include:
*Support the Principal Investigator (PI) and senior MRCT Center leaders by performing literature reviews; collecting, evaluating, and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data; participating in studies involving human research participants including in-depth interviews and focus groups, and coordinating data to support presentations, communications, and manuscript development.
*Prepare manuscripts for publication as an individual contributor or on behalf of the PI and/or MRCT Center.
*Draft fact sheets, talking points, and presentations for leadership.
*With leadership, identify funding opportunities and draft proposals.
*Coordinate topics and logistics with stakeholders as required to support expert meetings, workshops, or similar in-person or virtual meetings.

Bachelor's Degree required
