Job Description:

The Manager, Leave Administration will oversee the administration of leave of absence (LOA) programs and accommodations, ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. This role will manage relationships with third-party leave administration vendors and collaborate closely with internal business units and (BUs), talent leaders, and employees to ensure a seamless employee experience. Additionally, this role will support broader Benefits & Well-being initiatives, contributing to strategic planning and continuous improvement of employee programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of Crowe's leave of absence programs, including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, parental leave, personal leaves, and short- and long-term disability.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with external leave administration vendors to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant leave processing and reporting.
  • Monitor and evaluate vendor performance, lead regular reviews, and escalate and resolve service issues as needed.
  • Partner with HR, Legal, Payroll, and other departments to coordinate communication and administration of leave policies and accommodations.
  • Update and maintain leave and accommodation policies, processes, and other documentation.
  • Own and update internal resources for employees and leaders on leaves and accommodations.
  • Interpret and apply federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to employee leave, including FMLA, ADA, and other applicable regulations.
  • Develop and deliver training and guidance to employees, managers, and colleagues on leave policies, processes, and best practices.
  • Analyze leave trends, metrics, and reporting to identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend solutions.
  • Support and collaborate on broader Benefits & Well-being projects, including wellness initiatives, benefits communications, open enrollment, and policy development.
  • Maintain current knowledge of best practices, compliance requirements, and emerging trends in leave management and employee well-being to continuously improve processes and automation using Workday and other HR technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • 5+ years of experience in leave administration, including 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of FMLA, ADA, state-specific leave laws, and other relevant regulations.
  • Experience managing external vendors or third-party administrators.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on process improvement.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • HR or benefits certification (e.g., CEBS, PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
  • This role may be hybrid or remote depending on company policy and business needs. Occasional travel may be required for vendor meetings or team collaboration.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Crowe, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $99,000.00 - $202,500.00 per year.
