Staffmark is serving up a great opportunity for a reliable Cafeteria Worker to join the team at a respected hospital in Alexandria, LA. If you take pride in providing warm, nutritious meals and creating a positive dining experience, this role is for you! This temp-to-hire position offers steady weekday hours, a supportive team environment, and a chance to make a difference in patients' and staff's daily routines.

Pay Rate: $11.50/hr

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Position Overview:

The Cafeteria Worker will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas, assisting with food preparation and delivery, and ensuring that sanitation standards are met by facility regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, dining room, and storeroom.
• Properly label, date, and store deliveries, and break down boxes.
• Keep towels and soap dispensers clean and stocked.
• Monitor food temperatures using T-sticks or thermometers.
• Wash and return pots, pans, utensils, trays, and dishware promptly and properly.
• Maintain and operate a 3-compartment sink according to sanitation standards.
• Keep dish machines clean and stocked with necessary soap and rinse additives.
• Follow facility cleaning, safety, and sanitation guidelines at all times.
• Complete daily cleaning tasks and follow proper closing procedures.
• Ensure trash is removed and bins are emptied and replaced as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in food service and preparation.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Must have the ability to handle and manipulate kitchen tools and equipment.
