Role and Responsibilities:


We are seeking a dedicated and motivated food service Lead Production Worker to join our team! This is a hands-on role where you'll take the lead in food production while guiding and motivating a team to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are consistently met.



  • Assist in the oversight of food quality during production, ensuring safety standards are consistently met.

  • Package food products correctly for storage or distribution, label with necessary information (ingredients, expiration date), and seal to preserve freshness and prevent contamination.

  • Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies to maintain stock levels, following FIFO (First In, First Out) practices.

  • Keep workstations clean and organized while safely storing ingredients and products.

  • Ensure all food safety regulations are followed, including hygiene practices and wearing appropriate protective gear (gloves, hairnets, safety shoes).

  • Clean food production equipment and storage areas regularly to ensure safe, efficient operations.

  • Report any quality, safety, or production issues to supervisors and follow safety guidelines for machinery and equipment use.

  • Set the pace for the team, encouraging a positive work ethic, and holding team members accountable for meeting production goals.

  • Help assign tasks, monitor progress throughout the shift, and ensure all duties are completed accurately and on time.

  • Assist in training new employees on equipment use, food handling procedures, safety protocols, and daily production expectations.

  • Ensure food products meet quality standards for appearance, portion accuracy, and temperature control.

  • Maintain accurate production logs, inventory records, and temperature compliance checklists.

  • Work closely with the Production Supervisor and team members to ensure smooth workflow and effective communication.

  • Address issues promptly and assist in resolving conflicts.

  • Identify and report equipment malfunctions or production delays, assisting with quick, effective solutions to maintain production schedules.

  • Track ingredient usage, report low stock levels, and ensure proper inventory rotation to minimize waste and ensure product availability.


Qualifications:



  • 1-2 years of experience in food production, food service, or warehouse operations.

  • Proficient in the safe operation of food production equipment.

  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and proper handling procedures.

  • Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking.

  • Able to perform effectively under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.


Preferred Skills:



  • Possess a Food Handler's Certificate or ServSafe certification.

  • Certified to operate a forklift or experienced with manual/electric pallet jacks.

  • Previous experience as a team lead, supervisor, or manager in a production environment.

  • Familiar with inventory control systems and related processes.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective team coordination.

  • Standing or walking for long periods.

  • Lifting and carrying heavy boxes or equipment.

  • Reaching, bending, or stooping to grab items.

  • Repetitive hand movements.

  • Manual dexterity for handling delicate ingredients or equipment.

  • Exposure to strong odors (e.g., spices, cleaning chemicals).

  • Noise from machinery and other workers.
