SUMMARY
The Technical Training Specialist will develop and deliver training to maintenance employees. Specific training topics include, but are not limited to, quality operations, maintenance, controls maintenance, and company equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
*Extensive experience in steel processing industry or a related industry.
*Programmable logic Controller (PLC) training.
*Use of maintenance software training.
*Ladder logic interrogation training.
*Generalized electrical training.
*Data collection for Arc flash.
*Teach employees how to troubleshoot malfunctions in mechanical, electronic, or computer systems to identify and resolve problems.
*Assist where needed with the Maintenance Engineering Team.
Safety
*Works safely and follows all safety rules and operational procedures.
*Properly inspects equipment and completes any forms as required.
*Wears and maintains all required PPE.
*Understands all safety devices and their operation.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
*Two year technical, Associates degree or equivalent experience.
*Prior maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
*Ability to program and troubleshoot PLC's
*Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
*Lifting-Up to 25 pounds
*Standing-8 or more hours per day
*Walking-Off and on, 4-6 hours per day
*Body Positions-stooping,bending,squatting,reaching overhead,extending arms
*Grasping-Both hands, intermittently,up to 8 hours per day
*Sitting-Occasionally
*Pushing Effort-Occasionally
*Pulling-Occasionally
*Climbing-Occasionally

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
*Basic mathematical skills, addition, subtraction, multiplication and changing fractions into decimals.
*Ability to read a tape measure, caliper and micrometer accurately.
*Mechanically inclined.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
*Manufacturing facility -- exposed to heat and cold and office environment
*Personal Protective Equipment always required while on the manufacturing floor
*Noise controlled environment.
*Activity level is high -- continuous overhead crane and forklift operation.
