Learn more at kswelinstitute.utexas.edu. KS WELI programming empowers and equips entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs across all disciplines each year who will change the world. Through our strategic programming, KS WELI is able to connect these incredible entrepreneurs to mentors, investors, academics, and empower entrepreneurs to continue building and scaling their venture after our program. PurposeDevelop and lead KS WELI programming. Maintain campus and community relationships that lead to additional opportunities for KS WELI student. Developing the strategy for successful workshops, identifying key partnerships and mentorships, potential long-term investment opportunities, and working in partnership with staff to develop a strong resource database. ResponsibilitiesResponsible for all phases of program activities, including development, implementation, execution, and assessment for students, based on the strategic direction of KS WELI. Develops and implements standards for attainment of program goals and objectives. Maintains frequent interaction and organized communication with past and present cohort members, mentors, and external partners; university departments, special groups and external agencies in administering the program. Recommends new policies and procedures for improvement of program activities. Coordinates staff training and development related to the program. Manage Programs and Events General: Coordinate multiple complex events hosted by the Institute including but not limited to: monthly First Friday's networking events, weekly co-working, workshop series, and annual pitch event. Assist with co-sponsored events as needed. Coordinate communications regarding event logistics and help participants, speakers, and vendors complete required forms and paperwork. Program Management: Lead the application process and recruitment for entrepreneur programming each year. Promote and present KS WELI programming throughout campus and participate in events, presentations, speaker series, and resources. Create processes and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective operation to build out the program. Create processes and procedures for all tasks within the program, including logistics, content, marketing, development, external partnerships, administrative and more. Programs and Events Lead: Execute and attend assigned program components, overseeing logistics and ensuring that events run smoothly from start to finish. Oversee and reasonably assign tasks to support staff. Develop/contribute to the production of program reports, materials, and content. Prepare feedback surveys, as needed. Develop and maintain criteria for issuing awards/grants to entrepreneurs as per University policy. Vendor Relationships: Communicate and coordinate with vendors on vendor guidelines, arrival, load-in, and load-out procedures for all events. Work with external university departments to facilitate site rentals. Coordinate with internal business offices on vendor contracts and execution of payment to vendors with help of staff.
Manage Internal/External Relations Relationship and Community Building: Focus on both internal and external partnership development benefiting KS WELI students. Create and build a strong community for the KS WELI. Maintain relationships with KS WELI students (past and present) to understand where they are at in their entrepreneurial journey, connecting resources as needed. Maintain relationships with the KS WELI network, adding appropriate mentors, checking-in regularly, and other assistance needs. Develop and maintain relationships with current and future KS WELI partners. Collaborate with other KS WELI and University partners on initiatives that benefit KS WELI students. Own the relationship building process - sourcing, ideation, correspondence, on-boarding, and off-boarding.
Marketing and Communications: Collect analytics on participants' experience with the program and work to improve and evolve the program based on feedback and surveys received. Manage relevant program email accounts and Slack Channels. Collect, organize, and transfer assets to the marketing team to ensure a successful launch for their respective content. Contribute to KS WELI annual impact reports. Serve as the voice of the KS WELI and programming both on and off-campus. Administrative Office Operations and Service: Support general KS WELI office operations, including maintenance of space and high-level customer service/hospitality. Ongoing Training: Participate in regular training and development activities to promote team building and collaboration, as well as individual development.
