*Description*
FIA II - Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) regulatory compliance. These individuals will perform research and analysis of Navy Federal account activity to identify red flags and suspicious activity. They must complete SARs with well written narratives and provide well written justifications when SARs aren't necessary. To perform research and analysis of Navy Federal Account activity related to suspicious transactions and identify red flags. Create and maintain Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) associated with suspicious account activity requiring more complex research or in- depth investigation. Ensure adherence to applicable federal and state laws, rules and regulations. Work is performed under significant supervision. Responsibilities: *Investigate various types of transactions/activities/cases (Anti-Money Laundering, Structuring) includingcurrency structuring and reported or alleged loss of assets from various business channels *Compile, prepare and maintain data for analysis and reference *Create detailed reports of investigations to include actions taken and results, including completing Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) when appropriate *Monitor timeline from identification/notification of BSA/AML activity to closure, ensuring service level agreements and regulatory requirements are met *Support day-to-day OFAC operations, including completing scans of members and other parties as required by Navy Federal's risk-based policies *Perform ad-hoc analyses/scanning against OFAC/other lists when necessary *Maintain required documentation for NCUA, Internal Audit and government law enforcement agencies *Complete training as required by policy/supervision *Maintain knowledge of applicable federal/ state laws, rules, regulations, and Navy Federal policies and procedures *Performs other duties as assigned *Skills* Currency Transaction Report, CTR, BSA, AML, regulatory compliance, branch management, Analyst, Data entry *Top Skills Details* Currency Transaction Report,CTR,BSA,AML,regulatory compliance,branch management,Analyst *Additional Skills & Qualifications* ** Recent Verafin experience is required as well as experience BSA/AML systems ** Qualifications and Education Requirements: * Associate degree in Business Administration, , Finance, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience * Familiarity with applicable federal and state laws, rules and regulations (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, and OFAC regulations) * Familiarity with money-laundering trends and threats * Basic skill assimilating information, analyzing facts, and developing logical conclusions * Basic skill interpreting and synthesizing large amounts of information * Basic skill exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisions * Basic organizational, planning and time management skills * Basic investigative, research, analytical, and problem-solving skills * Basic skill following, interpreting, and applying relevant data/instructions to guidelines, procedures, practices, and regulations * Effective active listening skills to accurately respond to inquiries and account requests * Basic skill building relationships through rapport, trust, diplomacy, and tact * Exposure to working with all levels of staff, management, stakeholders, vendors * Basic skill to influence, negotiate, and persuade to reach agreeable exchange and positive outcomes * Basic verbal and written communications skills * Basic word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software skills * Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate integrity Desired Qualifications and Education Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Finance, or related field * Familiarity with Navy Federal products, services, programs, policies, and procedures * Fraud or *Experience Level* Entry Level *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.
