Responsibilities

Saber Systems is hiring for a Product Developer support to Naval Aviation acquisition programs. This position will be based onsite at the Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division in Patuxent River, Maryland. As a Product Developer at ACO, you will play a key role in supporting airworthiness product development. You will work closely with the ACO Airworthiness Director and Senior Airworthiness Engineers (SAE), helping develop, manage, and update flight clearance documentation and publications, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive day-to-day tasking from the ACO Airworthiness Director, SAE and contribute to various aspects of airworthiness product development.
  • Act as a Flight Clearance Product Developer for both interim and permanent flight clearances.
  • Develop content and execute updates for NATOPS and NATIP flight clearance publications.
  • Assist in creating content for Interim Flight Clearances.
  • Design transition plans to integrate Interim Flight Clearance content into the NATOPS/NATIP publications.
  • Maintain accurate records of all flight clearance actions, including clearances issued, expired, and those in progress.
  • Keep customers informed of actions needed to maintain product currency.
  • Provide coordination and planning for NATOPS/NATIP activities and customer requests.
  • Maintain reports to ensure traceability of content requirements and track defects within the products.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree, or 2 years of DoD aviation/flight clearance product experience with an Associate Degree in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree. Alternatively, 4 years of relevant DoD aviation or flight clearance product experience may be considered in place of a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Previous professional experience with the US Navy or USMC Aviation.
  • Experience working with Naval Aircraft.
  • Familiarity with NATOPS/NATIP publications.
  • Experience using e.POWER paperless routing software.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in editorial and graphics software on local, networked, or web-based platforms.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or 6 years of experience in aviation/flight clearance, or 10 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of Aircraft Flight Manuals.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with both management and team members to meet targets.
  • Reliable, proactive, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.

Work Environment: This position is based in an office environment, where the employee will primarily sit at a desk or cubicle, using a computer for the majority of the workday. The work environment is comfortable, with the flexibility to sit, stand, or walk as needed. The employee may occasionally need to travel short distances to various offices, conference rooms, and buildings on site, and may be required to visit other nearby locations as needed.
