Description

Sales Assistants provide support to Fiduciary Officers and Wealth Advisors through the process of opening, maintaining, and closing accounts. They are responsible for accurately reviewing, researching, and processing client requests in accordance with bank policy and procedures and requirements set by the governing regulatory agencies. They provide back-up on all client service issues in the role of a relationship manager as needed.

PROVIDE ENHANCED CLIENT SERVICE

Displays a positive attitude in managing and working with both internal and external clients. Must coordinate periodic training on opening accounts for consultants, and schedule appointments for financial/wealth consultants. Must also assist clients with distributions, account maintenance and other job duties.

PROMOTE DIGITAL AWARENESS

Embraces change and new technology in order to stay up-to-date with department related software and programs. Continually evaluates processes and procedures to effectively use technology for efficiencies and accuracy. Sets up and maintains online client services.

FOCUS ON ACCURACY AND ATTENTION TO DETAIL

Provides assistance on new accounts and regular account maintenance. Prepares & gathers necessary documents for new accounts. Sends requests and new accounts into Brokerage company for processing. Creates and maintains organized account folders, while also regularly files and scans documents to the proper location. Prepares daily draft reports and helps out with special projects and duties as need by their supervisor.

Takes advantage of training opportunities to advance knowledge of rules and regulations that impact all avenues of asset management.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, & EXPERIENCE

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job requirement satisfactorily and a skills inventory is listed below. BS in Business Administration or similar, preferred. Minimum of 1 year of financial services or related experience, 3 years' experience preferred. PA Life and Health Insurance, Series 6 and Series 66 licenses preferred, or candidate should be willing to obtain them. Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office is required. High School Diploma or equivalency is required. A background screening will be conducted.   • LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret documents. Possesses professional communication and interpersonal skills to write and speak effectively both one-on-one and before groups of clients or employees of the organization. Ability to communicate to clients directly and effectively.
  • TECHNOLOGY SKILLS: Ability to use telephone systems and possess good computer skills including email, internet and intranet use. Prior experience or the ability to learn within a 3 month time period the department related software and any other computer programs pertinent to performing job duties.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to solve challenging problems involving several variables in a standardized situation.
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This position operates in a professional office environment with considerable time spent at a desk using office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers. Noise level is moderate with constant communication and interactions with others. Ability to travel on occasion to all market areas and attend seminars or training sessions offsite.
