Staffmark is hiring a Forming Operator for a premier plastics manufacturing company located in Muncie, IN. This non-entry level role is ideal for candidates with previous experience operating machines or working with plastic injection equipment. Schedule & Pay

Pay: $24.50/hour

Schedule: 2-2-3 rotating shifts (2 days on, 2 days off, rotating every other weekend)

Training/Orientation: 2-3 days, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire

Job Summary

As a Forming Operator, you'll be responsible for the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of thermoforming lines and auxiliary equipment. You'll ensure equipment is functioning efficiently to meet production goals and maintain product quality. Candidates should be able to start up and run machinery independently and assist with diagnosing and resolving production issues quickly to reduce downtime.

Key Responsibilities



  • Set up and operate thermoformers, trim presses, and downstream equipment
  • Control machine settings such as heat and speed to meet customer specifications
  • Perform start-up, shutdown, and equipment cleaning
  • Conduct minor maintenance and routine upkeep on machinery
  • Train and guide packers and new operators when required
  • Accurately complete production and process records
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in all work areas



What You Bring



  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of machine operation or plastic injection molding experience
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Proficiency in basic math and using standard/metric measuring tools
  • Basic computer knowledge and forklift operation skills (preferred)
  • Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, moving machinery, and varying temperatures
