The Compensation Analyst will analyze data, research market trends, and ensures compliance with legal regulations. Analyzes and administers variable compensation programs that align with company objectives. Responsible for understanding, auditing, and administering variable compensation plans for multiple plans across the organization. The salary range on this job posting/advertising has been developed to give applicants a wide range to comply with pay transparency laws in all states and geographical areas. Many factors, such as years of experience, geographical location, budget etc. are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. The salary range posted represents the pay range for U.S. candidates. Responsibilities
- Analyze job descriptions, determine appropriate salary ranges, and ensure internal equity.
- Assist in salary survey data submission, analyze market data, and identify trends to benchmark compensation practices.
- Assist in the administration of compensation programs, including salary structures, bonuses, and incentives.
- Ensure compensation practices adhere to all applicable laws and regulations, such as the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and equal pay laws.
- Analyze compensation data, prepare reports, and present findings to management to support strategic decision-making.
- Responsible for analyzing sales and commission incentive plans, auditing payouts, optimizing processes, and collaborating with HR and Finance to ensure effective variable compensation programs are in place to support company growth.
- Review market trends, conduct data analysis, create reports on variable compensation results, and identifying areas for improvement to align incentive structures with business objectives.
- Analyze sales performance data, market trends, and compensation metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of incentive plans and identify areas for improvement.
- Identify opportunities to streamline the variable compensation process, including automation and data integration.
- Partners with business unit leaders, financial controllers & HR representatives to ensure variable compensation payments are accurate and processed timely.
- Primary contact for variable compensation-related pay issues/questions.
- Prepares monthly and ad-hoc reports and analyses as required.
- May be responsible for other duties as assigned by manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, accounting/finance, or a business-related field.
- 1-3 years' experience functioning as a variable compensation partner and/or administering incentive/ commission plans.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel required.
- Finance/ Accounting and/or Auditing experience preferred.
- Understanding of sales performance metrics and incentive compensation structures.
- Knowledge of HR policies and compliance regulations related to compensation.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Must be detail-oriented while coordinating and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Well-developed in the areas of planning, organizing and prioritizing work.
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills with a variety of audiences to convey complex data insights.
- Ability to read and interpret complex financial reports.
- Experience with the ADP payroll system preferred.
