Role Overview: This role is to provide overarching occupational health and safety expertise to one of Apex's most valued clients, a national aerospace manufacturer. Over the last 25 years Apex has worked hand and hand with the national aerospace manufacturer helping them achieve their Occupational Health and Safety, Ergonomic and Safety Engineering goals. The incumbent will serve as a Sr. Industrial Hygiene contractor to their Everett, WA facility. This role will be a full-time, onsite position. The client has requested 5 days a week/8-hour day, day shift. The incumbent will not only implement Industrial Hygiene support for the shop floor/work area but will also provide instrumental support to the EHS team in management of the client's health and safety programs. The incumbent will be highly knowledgeable of applicable Federal and State Occupational Safety and Health Regulatory Requirements. The role will routinely involve a blend of (1) workplace / shop floor employee personal and area exposure assessments, and (2) Occupational Safety and Health program management effectiveness evaluations and continuous improvement support. While the prominent technical area associated with this position is Occupational Industrial Hygiene, a general base of knowledge of safety will be highly valuable. The incumbent will also provide project leadership and project management functions to deploy a national program at the local site. Perhaps most importantly, the incumbent will be an energetic self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as a team to produce results.
