What You'll Do:



  • Coordinates with the Logistics Service Center in creating and maintaining hauler files for third-party (outside) haulers.
  • Manages onboarding of 3rd party and works with TRUX to ensure compliance with insurance requirements.
  • Processes hauler freight bills daily for payment. Ensures haul rates and trucks are accurately tracked (verifying standby), reported, and paid.
  • Uploads daily MDI report to Corporate for hauler payments.
  • Supports Director of Logistics/Logistics Manager in processing of diversified business transactions (including keying ticketing information into Apex).
  • Supports ARSS, Order Fulfillment, and SSC with ticket, invoice, and freight bill (including hauler pay) research, as needed. This includes coordination of credit/rebill and changed ticket transactions.
  • Coordinates with Payment Services in processing payables (business expenses) associated with Logistics operations.
  • Coordinates with Payment Services in ensuring weekly driver/hauler deductions are processed accurately and timely (including data entry and uploading EDI files).
  • Assists in the development, preparation, and distribution of Logistics reporting as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Skills You'll Need:

Education. Must have a high school diploma or its equivalent. Some college is preferred.

Experience. Minimum of two (2) years of administrative support experience in an office/professional environment is required. A background with experience including dispatching, customer relations, logistics and construction/transportation is preferred.

Interpersonal Skills. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and interact well with all levels of the organization. Must be able to represent Vulcan in a professional manner. Must be able to maintain satisfactory customer relations.

Time Management Skills. Must be able to manage time effectively with minimal supervision. Must have initiative and ability to handle multiple assignments and stay results-oriented. Must have the ability to work in a stressful, deadline-oriented environment that requires complex, technical information and decision-making.

Technology Skills. Must be skilled in using computers to record information and create reports.

Salary Range. The base hourly range for this role is between $24.00 - $ 27.00 per hour. This range is not inclusive of our discretionary bonus or equity package. When determining a candidate's compensation, we consider a number of factors, including skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data.
