Energy Management Technician Supervisor

Sideburn Support Center

Description

Supervises the full range of activities of a group of energy management technicians with responsibility for repair, maintenance, installation, and replacement of a variety of computer-controlled energy management systems; provides user support and maintenance services on a central control and monitoring system to all assigned schools.

Qualifications

Required

  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or possession of a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) certificate, supplemented by completion of acceptable energy management controls training.
  • Four (4) years of experience in the energy management and /or HVAC trades, one (1) year of which shall have been in a lead role.
    • Advanced degree(s) beyond the minimum degree requirement in a relevant field may be considered for some experience.
  • Possession of an appropriate, valid motor vehicle operator's license with a good driving record.
  • May be required to work an evening and/or night shift on a regular or rotating basis, accept call-back overtime or regular overtime, and/or agree to assume an emergency call-out list status.
  • Knowledge of procedures, techniques, materials, equipment, and tools involved in a wide variety of computer-controlled energy management systems.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and national codes.
  • Ability to plan, organize, direct, and provide technical assistance to a group of technical employees.
  • Ability to make independent judgments and decisions within established policies and to interpret policies for subordinates.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, diagrams, sketches, blueprints, and manufacturers' manuals.
  • Ability to make sketches and drawings.
  • Ability to estimate costs of work performed.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to keep accurate records and prepare reports.
  • Ability to maintain good interpersonal relations.
  • Ability to oversee and manage subcontractor activities.

Salary Range

$64,645 - $109,122
