What You'll Do Gradually grow from working under the supervision of a staff or project engineer in the first semester to working independently in the second/third semesters. Perform CAD work requested by CAD specialist and staff/project engineers. Perform engineering calculations related to the design of Mechanically Stabilized Earth Structures. Prepare shop drawings using TensarDraw and AutoCAD. Prepare material quantity takeoffs for preliminary and final projects. Perform miscellaneous engineering-related tasks as required by the Engineering Manager. Presentation/Report on an improvement project at the end of internship What You'll Need Familiarity with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD Experience reading and interpreting project documents and drawings. Self-motivation, results-oriented approach, and an inquisitive mindset Excellent written and verbal communication skills Able to work in a team environment Your Education Currently pursuing Bachelor of Science in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 We are CMC, a Fortune500 company at the leading edge of our industry.
