Roles and Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures in residential and commercial settings
- Troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing issues; identify appropriate tools and materials for repairs
- Collaborate with contractors, construction teams, and property owners during remodeling or new construction projects
- Perform routine maintenance of plumbing systems to ensure optimal functionality
- Interpret blueprints and building specifications to map layout of pipes, drainage systems, and other plumbing materials
- Inspect and test plumbing systems for safety, functionality, and code compliance
- Provide professional and courteous service to clients and customers
- Demonstrated experience in commercial and residential plumbing services, including new construction and retrofit projects
- Perform service, repair, and replacement of various water heating systems, including hydronic boilers and related equipment
- Willingness and ability to assume part of an on-call rotation
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of, or in process of completing a plumbing or HVAC degree or diploma
- Proven experience in both residential and commercial plumbing
- Understanding of and adherence to safety standards and local plumbing codes and regulations
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Current, valid driver's license
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues efficiently
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and skill development through self-directed learning, workshops, and industry-related training
Preferred Requirements
- Journeyman or Master Plumbing license
Physical Requirements
- Ability to carry and lift heavy equipment (up to 100 pounds)
- Comfortability working in varied environments, i.e. commercial sites, outdoors, etc.
- Ability to work in cramped spaces, on ladders, and in high or tight areas
