Plans And Carries Out Activities In The Cancer Center Regarding Patients' Nutritional Well Being, Counsels Patients And Families And Provides Other Services Related To The Dietetic Area Of Patient Care.

Responsibilities
- 1. Develops And Implements Plans Of Care Based On Assessment Of Nutritional Needs Of Cancer Patients And Correlates Such Plans With Other Health Care Activities.
- 2. Counsels Patients And Families On Nutrition While Undergoing Cancer Care To Include Nutrition Principles, Food Selections, Economics, Adaptation To The Patients? Lifestyle, And Diagnosis.
- 3. Communicates Appropriate Dietary History And Nutrition Care Data Through Electronic Health Records.
- 4. Participates In Multidisciplinary Patient Care Team Meetings, As Assigned.
- 5. Reviews Technical Literature And Attends Meetings And Training Sessions To Keep Abreast Of Scientific, Educational, And Medical Developments In Nutritional Prevention Education That May Enhance The Effectiveness Of Nutritional Prevention Education.
- 6. Meets Performance Expectations For Customer Service, Teamwork, Resource Utilization, And Staff And Self Development As Outlined In Performance Review;
- 7. Performs Other Duties As Assigned Or Directed To Ensure Smooth Operation Of The Department.
Qualifications
EDUCATION B.S. In Dietetics Or Related Science. EXPERIENCE Completion Of An Approved Hospital Dietetic Internship Program Or Equivalent Combination Of Education And Practicum. LICENSURE American Dietetic Association Registered Dietitian. Cso (Certified Specialist In Oncology) Desirable. SPECIAL SKILLS N/A
