An exciting opportunity to join the Land Systems Global Engineering Leadership Team, to lead a dynamic group of Configuration Management, Engineering and Data Management professionals responsible for Planning, Tracking, Managing and Communicating, product configuration across our product portfolio both internally and with our Customers.

Your Role:
As the Change Management Area Manager, you will lead a team of Change Management Professionals across a broad portfolio of wheeled and tracked ground combat vehicle platforms, reporting to the Configuration and Data Management Manager.
You and your team will have responsibility to ensure the planning, management, implementation and close out of Configuration Management tasks within the initial release and change processes across our development programs and existing product portfolio. You and your team will manage schedule, staffing demand, execution, and risk along with internal and external customer relationships.
To be successful, you will need exceptional leadership, communication, problem solving and organizational skills, while being able to identify and navigate our matrixed organizational structure.

Configuration Management
- Ensure and oversee on-time delivery of quality Configuration Management practices and Configured Deliverables across programs directly and via your team
- Including key metrics for progress, quality and schedule
- Enrich initial release and change details, ensure process throughput, assemble change packages, review BoM data quality, and support Change Control Boards
- Assessment of where parts are used to facilitate change impact assessments
- Support Engineering Project Management and Program Management Offices with customer engagements and meetings as it relates to CM
- Ensure that demand for staffing is managed / met based on engagement with other engineering functions
- As required make prioritization decisions to balance program / project delivery needs with the available talent pool provided by the Engineering Matrix Organizations
- Engage directly as necessary to bid new work / projects and creation of estimates associated with Configuration Management activities
- Support major activities / milestones such as Engineering Release Planning, Customer Design Reviews, Customer Contractual Data Deliveries
- Maintain and evolve standards of our release process and enforces key elements throughout our Product Lifecycle Management system (Teamcenter) workflows to ensure GDLS compliance to contractual requirements, industry standards and best practice
- Perform other assignments and functions as assigned.
Required Qualifications / What you must have:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant technical discipline
- Minimum of 5 plus years relevant work experience
- Proven experience in managerial or leadership role
- Experience with Bill of Material, and individual parts management and release
- Strong understanding of configuration management principles, methodologies, and best practices
- Demonstrated high level of autonomous decision-making ability, with excellent organizational, problem solving, written and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers
- Demonstrated ability to work multiple requirements, challenges and opportunities concurrently.
Preferred Skills and Experience Desired:
- Driven dynamic leader with courage to drive change
- MBA/MS
- Experience implementing and executing Configuration Management practices
- Financial and / or budgetary management / forecasting experience
- Familiarity vehicle architecture, systems and subsystems (ground combat vehicles specifically even better)
- Familiarity with specifics tools (PLM) Teamcenter, (ERP) Oracle, (CAD) CREO, NX
- Familiarity and experience working within sensitive and or classified program environment
Additional Information
- This position may require eligibility to obtain a US security clearance. (Non-US Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance)
- Limited travel maybe required
- Must be able to work occasional evening and/or weekend overtime as required.
