JOB SUMMARY:

The Capital Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting with field-based project management activities and supporting administrative tasks within the Summit Fire National Account Project team. This role involves supporting fire life safety systems projects and ensuring all documentation, communication, and project tracking are handled efficiently.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:



  • Support Summit Fire National Account Project team with fire life safety systems and related industry needs.
  • Manage awarded bids, ensuring timely receipt, organization, and distribution of documentation, schedules, and customer requirements.
  • Participate in project award discussions with Project Team and subcontractors, reviewing expectations, communication standards, document submissions, and close-out schedules.
  • Maintain Fire Safety Lifecycle (FSL) updates and file relevant materials in a timely manner.
  • Utilize project management software to track data, documents, deadlines, and responsible parties.
  • Ensure effective communication with Summit Branches, subcontractors, and customers (both written and verbal).
  • Other duties may be assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Training, Certifications:



  • High School diploma/GED, required.


Experience, Knowledge, Skill Requirements:



  • 3+ years of relevant experience, required.


Communication Skills:



  • Must have the ability to effectively read, write and communicate in English with employees, customers, and board of directors.


Systems and Software Skills:



  • Proficient in personal computers, including databases, word processing, and spreadsheet programs; extensive experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for creation and execution.


Other Qualifications:



  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record, required.
  • Must be able to comply with Summit's Drug and Alcohol policy and Background screening requirements, which may also include customer specific requirements based on contractual agreement.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and stand for long periods. Employee will occasionally be required to drive, bend, kneel, balance, lift <20lb, walk, stand, ascend/descend stairs, reach above and below shoulders, stoop, and twist.

Work Environment:

Employee will consistently be required to work indoors in an office or remote setting, work alone and with others. Employee will occasionally be required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment, as required by company safety policies. Employee will rarely be required to travel.
