Manager Human Resources (onsite/hybrid)
Position Overview The Manager of Human Resources provides hands-on leadership to the HR team, managing the day-to-day delivery of people programs that support AgriBank's goals and contribute to a positive employee experience. In close partnership with the VP of HR, this role is instrumental in operationalizing AgriBank's people strategy by implementing actionable plans that foster a high-performing culture, enhance employee engagement, and drive organizational effectiveness. This role serves as a trusted partner to employees and leaders across the organization, ensuring HR practices are aligned with evolving business needs. - Leads, coaches, and develops a high-performing HR team across all functional areas including talent acquisition, HR operations, employee relations, performance, total rewards, talent development, HR systems, and compliance.
- Establishes clarity, accountability, and consistency across the team by establishing priorities, managing performance, and providing guidance.
- Manages implementation and administration of HR programs, policies, and processes in support of AgriBank's strategic goals and workforce needs.
- Serves as a trusted advisor to the HR team and business leaders, providing guidance on employee matters, team effectiveness, and workforce planning.
- Partners closely with the VP of HR to translate AgriBank's people strategy into actionable HR plans and programs.
- Supports the execution of initiatives related to talent development, performance management, culture, and succession planning.
- Leads the operational rollout of key HR initiatives and ensures alignment, consistency, and adoption across the organization.
- Guides recruitment strategy, advising the HR team on best hiring practices, retention strategies, and onboarding effectiveness.
- Collaborates with the HR team to support the mid-year and annual performance evaluation, ensuring consistency, fairness, and effectiveness in measuring employee contributions.
- Guides the HR Team and business leaders on employee performance decisions, coaching strategies, and talent optimization.
- Champions a culture of continuous feedback and professional growth
- Partners with leadership to refine and enhance development programs, succession planning, and leadership pipeline strategies
- Drives engagement and culture initiatives by leveraging employee feedback to promote a positive and purpose-driven employee experience.
- Manages compensation programs in partnership with Farm Credit Foundations, including market pricing, pay equity reviews, salary planning, and incentive processes.
- Partners with HR team and business leaders on compensation decisions, including new hire offers, promotions, and adjustments, ensuring alignment with performance, market trends, and internal equity.
- Partners with the HR team to drive annual salary and incentive planning processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Oversees the effective use of HR systems to enhance user experience, ensure data integrity, and continuously improve HR processes and workflows.
- Develops and monitors key HR metrics, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms to support data-driven decision-making and strategic planning.
- Ensures bank-wide compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and proactively mitigates risk through audit readiness and policy governance
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field.
- Master's degree and/or professional HR certification (e.g., SPHR, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience with at least 2 years of experience managing or coaching HR professionals.
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions described above
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong leadership and team development skills, with a collaborative and empowering approach.
- Deep knowledge of HR best practices across talent management, compensation, employee relations, performance management, and organizational development.
- Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach - comfortable shifting between big-picture thinking and operational execution.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts and strategies to a wide range of stakeholders, including senior leaders and board members
- Strong business acumen with a strategic mindset, consistently aligning HR initiatives with the Bank's strategy to drive organizational performance and long-term value
- Advanced proficiency with HRIS systems, performance management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Ability to build and maintain trust at all levels of the organization, demonstrating integrity and confidentiality in all interactions.

The typical base range for this role is between $106,000 - $165,000. Compensation may vary based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.
