Job Title: Nurse Practitioner - Sleep Medicine Location: Jackson, MI Inpatient/Outpatient: 100% outpatient Case Load: 100% Adult Position Overview: Henry Ford Health Jackson is seeking a full-time, dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our growing Sleep Medicine team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively in a specialized setting focused on the diagnosis and management of sleep disorders. New graduates are welcome to apply and will be supported through comprehensive onboarding and mentorship. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills, a passion for sleep health, and a commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. Provider will be hired under Henry Ford Medical Group. 205 N East Ave Jackson, MI 49201 Schedule - 7a-5p, 4 days a week (full-time) Weekend requirement - no. Call requirement - no. GENERAL SUMMARY: Provides inpatient and/or outpatient medical care. Takes patient history, performs physical examination, orders, and interprets tests, makes diagnoses, and institutes appropriate treatment programs. Works in collaboration with staff physicians, house officers, nurses, and other medical care team members to ensure that patient outcomes are achieved safely and efficiently. Specific procedures are individually credentialed as indicated by training and experience. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Master's degree in nursing. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Certified Nurse Practitioner. Licensed as a Registered Nurse. Current BLS or ACLS as required. Current ATLS/PALS provider status as required by department. Qualifications: * NP - Completion of a Nurse Practitioner training program accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) * PA - Completion of a Physician Assistant training program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) * NP - Certification by a certification body recognized by the State of Michigan * PA - Certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Licensure and Certification * Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Michigan, or in process of applying (must have proof of application) * National certification as an NP or PA (e.g., ANCC, AANP, NCCPA) * Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required. * Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. * DEA/CSL, required through credentialing. * DEA - NPs do not have controlled substance licenses, only PAs. When NPs apply, they will enter MI license number instead of controlled substance license since they won't have a CSL.
