JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Evaluate and monitor portfolio performance against benchmarks and CapIQ postings.
  • Highlight portfolio concerns from press releases, government agencies, and other sources.
  • Run weekly market update meetings with analysts to track the progress of projects and assist with issues.
  • Organize monthly meetings to discuss performance commentary
  • Meet with mentors to learn expert opinions on the portfolio risks and possible process improvements.
  • Create and file documents with the PRI to maintain signatory status and influence process improvement of the PRI.
  • Review and vote on proxy statements of owned securities in line with CFE and other Responsible Investing guidelines.
  • Refine ESG analysis process to create better guidance for analysts.
  • Other duties as assigned

Average hours per week: 7; May 19th, 2025 - August 6th, 2025

Returning Carlson MBA student, deep knowledge of the Funds Enterprise

About the Department

The David S. Kidwell Funds Enterprise (CFE) allows MBA, MS of Finance, and undergraduate students majoring in finance the opportunity to manage over $50 million of real investment money. Guided by the managing director and faculty members, student participants take total control of the money management process. Not only does the program allow students to learn about real-word investment management, but participants are able to earn competitive returns as well.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: The FY2025 hourly rate for Carlson School Professional Program Assistant is $22.17. This amount will increase with the fiscal year change before fall semester starts; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
