Maintenance Technician, United States - (Ooltewah, TN, Onsite)

In this role, your mission and responsibilities will be to:

This Maintenance Technician role will support the production team by keeping machinery in good working condition, resolving mechanical issues, performing electrical repairs, and ensuring a safe, organized workspace.

Specifically, you'll:



  • Supports the manufacturing team as the mechanical expert
  • Ensures production and support equipment are functioning properly
  • Performs preventative maintenance procedures
  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment malfunctions
  • Makes repairs or adjustments to equipment as needed
  • Performs basic electrical duties (replace motors, switches, PE, etc.)
  • Supports the team on all aspects of the operation
  • Trains team members on mechanical process
  • Focuses on continuous improvement
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment in accordance with ISO Good Manufacturing & 6S practices



Experience and requirements:

You're a curious problem solver who can bring big ideas to life. You're creative and scrappy but can navigate a large organization with ease. You're agile and adaptable but work with precision to ensure we always deliver top-notch customer experiences. You also have:




  • High School diploma or GED required.


  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in heavy duty machining/ manufacturing environment.
  • Smartsheet experience preferred

Join Our Team as a Fabricator at Epiroc!

ThisFabricatorrole is responsible for operating cranes, fabricating products, and maintaining welding tools and equipment safely and efficiently to achieve the quality and production standards of the company.

Work Type (Onsite):

This position will be based onsite at our Ooltewah, TN facility. This job opening is not eligible for immigration/work visa sponsorship

Shift Timings:6:00 PM - 4:30 AM, Monday to Thursday.

Responsibilities:



  • Layout, position, align, and fit components into the welding fixture as instructed.
  • Set up gas shield, MIG-weld, and weld parts to job specifications.
  • Removes rough spots from castings, using a portable powered grinder and hand file, to finish welded parts
  • Various positioning of metal components in assembly, using a straightedge, combination square, calipers, and rule.
  • Lifts and positions components on the assembly table, using an electric crane, jacks, and shims.
  • Repairs broken or cracked parts, fills holes,and welds various metal parts together
  • Operates various equipment necessary to fabricate (jigs, fixtures, grinders, tape measure, level, hammer, etc.)
  • Receives instructions, prints, and work orders for the job. Plans details of working procedures and tools and material requirements.
  • Fabricates equipment by cutting, burning, and welding various metals, and cleans and prepares surfaces to be welded. Sets up, assembles, and tacks welds parts.
  • Builds up worn or defective surfaces, and keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly



Knowledge/Education:



  • Minimum of 3 years experience in heavy-duty machining/manufacturing environment, preferred
  • Demonstrated skill level of wire feed (MIG) welding.
  • Excellent critical thinking, communication, problem-solving skills, and interpersonal skills.



Skills and Abilities:



  • Ability to read tape measures and blueprints.
  • Ability to read and understand work order routings and instructions.
  • Ability to lay out parts using weld fixtures.
