The Manager Nursing Staffing will work with the Staffing Coordinators at the eight CHE locations to ensure process and procedures are in place for filling critical need. In addition, close attention to the payroll process for the clinical CHE team members. There is oversight to the National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators (NDNQI) data relative to our locations. In 2025, a project for staffing at each site is in the works and this Manager will be key in guiding the project.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in a staffing office or a hospital float pool. We are also looking for the candidate with project management experience along with data analysis and payroll budgets.

Scope of work

Provides leadership, direction, and operational management of the nursing central staffing program at Corewell Health East Michigan to create and improve initiatives aimed at optimizing resource allocation and staff flexibility. Maintains strong knowledge of staffing data and technologies to support nursing leaders in advancing staffing and scheduling practices. Oversees nursing resource allocation, new graduate RN float pool program and resource center expansion. Direct supervision of central staffing office team and staffing program team members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) Required.
  • Master's Degree nursing, healthcare administration, business administration or related field Preferred.
  • Three years of related clinical nursing experience Required.
  • Three years of relevant supervisory experience Required.
  • MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required.
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required.
