Qualifications Education: Associates degree in Social Work, Human Services, or another Human Service-related field. Experience: Experience with providing service to individuals with a severe and persistent behavioral health needs. Must have lived experience and in a state of recovery with ones own mental health diagnosis. License(s)/Certification(s): Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons. Class D license. Peer Support Training and competency exam within 6 months of hire. Must 21 years of ago to qualify for Peer Support training. Preferred: Peer Support Certification/Family Peer Support Certification Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to delegate wisely, exercise good judgment, maintain good interpersonal relationships, adapt to change, evaluate critically and think creatively. Individual will demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to adult and geriatric patients with severe and persistent mental illnesses. Individual will demonstrate effective written and verbal skills allowing communication with physicians, co-workers, other clinic/hospital personnel, as well as the public. Position requires good organizational skills. Other: Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position. Position requires remote work. Must have access to cell phone during working hours. |
