The Mid-Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union (MHV) board seeks a dynamic and innovative executive to be its next CEO. The future CEO will bring experience in developing and pursuing new market opportunities, enhancing and diversifying products, services, emerging technologies, and digital banking, and creating a growth strategy that ensures material market expansion in the Hudson Valley and beyond.

MHV began as a financial cooperative supporting IBM Kingston employees and has grown into one of the largest credit unions in New York State. The conversion to and subsequent expansion of a community charter has enabled MHV to serve 93,000 members across Ulster, Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Westchester, Sullivan, and Rockland counties. With assets exceeding $1.5 billion and a legacy of serving the Hudson Valley community for more than 60 years, MHV is at a critical juncture in its evolution, seeking a visionary leader to navigate the rapidly changing financial services landscape.

As CEO, you will lead with courage, confidence, and vision, positioning MHV for long-term success in an evolving financial landscape. You will identify and pursue innovative market opportunities, expanding MHV's reach while ensuring the organization remains competitive and responsive to member needs. Your leadership will demonstrate and exemplify a commitment to developing strategies that attract and retain members, ensuring that MHV continues to expand its impact and influence in the market.

In this role, you will foster a collaborative and high-performing culture, ensuring that teams across the organization work cohesively toward strategic objectives. By championing creativity and innovation, you will encourage forward-thinking solutions that strengthen MHV's market position. Your leadership will be guided by integrity and excellence, ensuring that every decision aligns with MHV's mission, core values, and commitment to serving its members and the communities of the Hudson Valley.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Growth & Market Expansion - Identify and execute new market opportunities while ensuring sustainable growth in a competitive financial services landscape.
• Innovation & Digital Transformation - Foster a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging emerging technologies and digital banking trends to enhance member experiences.
• Brand & Marketing Leadership - Strengthen MHV's brand presence, supporting marketing strategies that differentiate the credit union in a competitive market.
• Operational & Financial Oversight - Ensure financial stability, operational excellence, and forward-thinking strategies that drive efficiency and long-term success.
• Board & Leadership Collaboration - Partner with the board on strategic initiatives while empowering and developing a high-performing executive leadership team.
• Culture & Community Engagement - Preserve a people-first, member-centric culture, fostering strong community relationships and maintaining MHV's deep-rooted commitment to the Hudson Valley area.
• Change Management & Adaptability - Navigate transformation while respecting MHV's core values, ensuring the organization evolves to meet the needs of current and future members.

Leadership & Industry Experience:

• 7 to 10 years of experience in a leadership role with significant enterprise-wide responsibility.
  
  15+ years of financial institution or retail services experience.
• Proven ability to lead, develop, and coach employees, fostering a positive organizational culture through collaboration with the board, executive team, employees, members, and the community.
• Strong track record in strategic thinking, planning, operational leadership, and execution of initiatives that meet or exceed board and organizational goals.
• Experience as a CEO, EVP, SEVP, or Chief-level executive in a financial institution of relevant size and complexity.

Education & Professional Development:

• Bachelor's degree preferred in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Ongoing professional development in financial institutions or retail services leadership.

Compensation: $650,000-$800,000
