Job Purpose

This position will analyze asset data and TVC (Traceable, Verifiable and Complete) records for use in IT systems such as ArcGIS, Synergi Pipeline, and Maximo for Gas Asset Management & Engineering. This includes analyzing records for assets like transmission pipelines, transmission regulator/take stations, and LNG Plants.

The key objective of thisposition is to process, analyze, and properly archive records related to asset attribute data, assessment data, and maintenance records. Ultimately, this will support adherence to PHMSA guidelines for Traceable, Verifiable, and Complete records and ensure that National Grid is running a safeand reliable gas network.

Key Accountabilities

Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Review records and QA/QC them to determine if the records are traceable, verifiable, and complete
  • Examine Construction Records including Field As-Builts and Material Testing Records to ensure accuracy
  • Digitize TVC paper records and ensure proper upload into document repository
  • Ensure TVC paper records are organized, filed, and secured in various Records Centers
  • Assist in ensuring asset registers are properly updated with the asset data from TVC records
  • Assist in creating reports to show data/record gaps and work to close record gaps
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in a business discipline required
  • 1-3 Years of Engineer Experience is required
  • 1+ Year in Gas Construction is Preferred
  • 1+ year of professional experience working with data and computer systems required
  • Knowledge of gas utility assets and TVC records strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of current trends within the utility industry and developments in legislation or regulation related to PHMSA Pipeline rules, 49CFR192 DOT Pipeline Codes, ASME/ANSI B31.8 Code preferred
  • Valid driver's license required

Salary

$109,000 - $128,000 a year

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
