Job Overview

Manage a complex and mixed array of lease agreements with accompanying responsibilities in both a landlord and tenant role for the university.

Essential Functions

  • Facilitate access for new tenants/employees to leased space such as keys and keycards, cancelling for tenants/employees of tenants who vacate space, and any issues that arise with access to leased space.
  • Assist with university leasing activities, negotiations, drafting of term sheets, lease documents and related exhibits, includes routine collaboration with Sr. Director of Real Estate and Community Investments. Ensure leases are equitable and in best interest of the university.
  • Assist with executing specific tasks for tenants in UC owned properties (i.e. grounds, cleaning, parking).
  • Facilitate real estate projects and initiatives for affiliate entities including foundation, endowment, Hoxworth center, UC Health and Uptown Consortium.
  • Manage landlord/tenant relationships delegating property management workflow and navigation of the University system.
  • Manage tenants to ensure they receive appropriate accommodations for the duration of each lease as well as ensure the same quality is provided when in a leasing role.
  • Provide backup for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable for all real estate and community development for the university.
  • Keep abreast of federal, state and local regulations and trends that affect real estate.

Required Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Real Estate Development, Financing, or related field
  • Five (5) years of relevant education, experience and/or other specialized training can fulfill minimum education and experience requirements

Required Experience

  • One (1) year of experience in real estate brokerage/management.

  • Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
