The Military Trauma Behavioral Heath Therapist performs social services functions to include assisting patients in meeting their bio-psychosocial needs while enabling them to access through therapeutic treatment skills to achieve their optimal level of emotional health, with a specific focus on treatment of complex trauma and PTSD. The Trauma Program therapist works with an interdisciplinary treatment team to create a therapeutic milieu. Treatment modalities include EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Psychodrama, and expressive therapies. The Trauma Program therapist will provide group, individual, and family therapy with the military population. This is a Full-time Exempt position working four-10-hour days with one day being on the weekend.


Qualifications

  • Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in human relations field required.
  • Experience: A minimum of two (2) years' experience in trauma/PTSD treatment or in a psychiatric health care facility preferred, with direct experience in individual and group therapies, crisis intervention, and EMDR trained.
  • License: Fully licensed to practice in the State of Utah as a mental health professional.
  • Additional Requirements: CPR certification is required. You will need to successfully complete our current training for restraints and seclusions. This training will need to be done prior to assisting in any patient restraints or seclusions and within 90 days of employment. May be required to work flexible hours.
