Job Title: Sr. Loan Processor I Department: Home Loan Center Location: Los Angeles, CA (Onsite - Required 5 Days a Week) We are looking for a Sr. Loan Processor I to join our Home Loan Center team. The Sr Loan Processor is responsible for managing the processing of mortgage loan applications from initial interview to closing. This role involves client consultation, processing loan documentation, and performing data input and inquiries within the core loan origination system. The Senior Loan Processor will ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including TILA, TRID, RESPA, and ECOA, while managing both investor and portfolio loan reports. The Sr Loan processor will also work closely with underwriting, closing and third party vendors to ensure a smooth loan closing process. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct interviews with applicants and respond to phone inquiries regarding home loan options.
- Explain loan products and programs to borrowers and guide them through the application process.
- Assist borrowers in completing loan applications, ensuring all required information is collected and accurate.
- Accurately input loan data into the Loan Origination System (LOS) and input HMDA data into CALYX Path.
- Prepare and distribute Loan Estimates and initial disclosures in compliance with federal regulations.
- Review and analyze credit reports, income, asset, and other required documentation.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in banking and/or lending preferred.
- Must be able to work independently without constant supervision.
- Experience in retail/lending sales and customer service functions is a plus.
- Working knowledge of computers, related business programs and banking systems.
- Use of word processing, spreadsheet software applications, core banking process systems, e-mail and on-line banking programs.
- Good written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person, and over the phone.
- Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or client complaints.
- Present a professional image in dealing with customers, interdepartmental, and external representatives.
- Accurate typing/keyboarding skills; basic computer skills, including the use of word processing, spreadsheet software applications, core banking process systems, e-mail and on-line banking programs.
- [Work Location Requirement] This position requires working onsite at our Open Bank's Western Office location five (5) days a week. Candidates must be able to commute to and work from this location.
