SUMMARY: Directs and coordinates activities and personnel of the Flight Operations department in acquiring aerial imagery, ensuring production and quality standards are met by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate personnel. Performs production work in these areas as required. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Manages the acquisition production staff to include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION Bachelor's degree in logistics, aviation, computer science, mathematics, or engineering field or equivalent work experience. Bachelor's degree preferred. Must have aviation flight or flight management experience. EXPERIENCE A minimum of five years' experience in acquisition-related management (aircraft, personnel, sensors) is required. Must have the ability to manage a group of technical non-exempt and exempt employees, maintaining a high degree of motivation and focus within the department. Must be detail oriented, ability to multi-task and maintain organization in a changing environment. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication leadership and motivational skills with a strong commitment to quality required.
