Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

This role is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments in support of Telligen's technology strategy. The incumbent focuses on the administration of AWS-based systems and the automation of infrastructure provisioning and operational tasks using infrastructure-as-code and DevOps practices.
This position ensures that systems are secure, reliable, and scalable, and they meet the requirements of internal stakeholders and external clients. The incumbent collaborates across teams to support application delivery, observability, and operational efficiency.

Essential Functions
  • Designs and manages scalable and secure infrastructure in AWS, including EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, IAM, and associated services.
  • Administers Linux and Windows operating systems across development, test, and production environments.
  • Develops infrastructure-as-code templates and modules using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • Implements and maintains monitoring and observability solutions to ensure visibility into infrastructure health and performance.
  • Automates system provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes to reduce manual effort and increase repeatability.
  • Integrates infrastructure solutions with CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with application development and DevOps teams.
  • Participates in incident response, root cause analysis, and problem resolution related to infrastructure and system availability.
  • Maintains documentation related to system architecture, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Evaluates and recommends new technologies and tools to enhance infrastructure reliability and performance.
  • Supports compliance and security standards in cloud infrastructure environments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field; or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering or systems administration
  • 5+ years of experience with AWS infrastructure and service; or equivalent experience in Azure or Google Cloud
  • Experience with Linux system administration; familiarity with Windows Server environments
  • Proficiency in infrastructure automation and configuration management (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible)
  • Experience with monitoring, alerting, and logging platforms (e.g., CloudWatch, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana)
  • Knowledge of cloud security, IAM, and networking within AWS
Preferred Skills and Certifications
  • Certification in cloud platforms such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and related tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
  • Experience with serverless computing services such as AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, or Google Cloud Functions.
