Base Assembler Opportunity with Bernhardt Furniture: As a Base Assembler at Bernhardt, you will play a key role in our operations by completing the following: Assembly Tasks: Assemble the base structures of sofas and chairs according to detailed specifications and blueprints. Material Handling: Select and prepare materials, including wood, metal, and upholstery components, ensuring they meet quality standards. Tool Operation: Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery safely and efficiently to cut, shape, and join materials. Quality Control: Inspect assembled bases for defects and ensure that all parts meet the company's quality standard. Collaboration: Work closely with other assembly line workers, supervisors, and quality control personnel to ensure smooth production flow. Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production activities, including quantities assembled and issues encountered. Requirements: Experience: Previous experience in furniture assembly or a related field is preferred. Skills: Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and machinery. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and assembly instructions. Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy materials, and perform repetitive tasks. Attention to Detail: Strong focus on precision and quality in assembly work. Team Player: Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Safety Awareness: Commitment to following safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
