Are you a hands-on problem-solver who thrives in dynamic environments? Do you have a passion for cutting-edge technology and a drive to ensure operational excellence? We're looking for a Field Service Technician who will be a key contributor to the success of SelectTech's field operations, supporting the execution of mission-critical programs.

In this highly visible position, you'll take the lead on-site, coordinating complex logistics while providing expert technical support in both mechanical and electrical systems. You'll be the go-to resource for ensuring our advanced systems are fully mission-ready - and making a real difference where it matters most.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop, maintain, and distribute at least a weekly field service schedule, ensuring all assignments are communicated clearly to the Program Managers.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and confirm staffing for all field service assignments, facilitating communication between customers and on-site liaisons.
  • Serve as the lead technician during field service operations, providing expertise and oversight to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Perform field modifications and upgrades to our defense systems, following engineering specifications and technical documentation.
  • Conduct electrical and mechanical repairs of our systems, both in the field and at SelectTech facilities.
  • Create, edit, and distribute detailed field service reports and records to relevant stakeholders after each assignment.
  • Manage an incident report database, documenting all field service issues and coordinating follow-up actions with appropriate departments.
  • Maintain effective communication with customers and on-site liaisons, addressing inquiries and ensuring satisfaction with service delivery.
  • Deliver on-site training to end-users on the proper use and maintenance of our systems.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement best practices in field service operations.
  • Ensure all field service activities comply with contractual obligations, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Oversee the allocation of tools, equipment, and materials required for field service assignments, ensuring availability and readiness.
  • Maintain ownership of program-specific inventory, ensuring accurate knowledge of contents and usage. Control the flow of inventory by overseeing what items are added to or removed from each inventory set. Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure accurate tracking and management of inventory as new items are received or consumed.


What We're Looking For:

  • High School Diploma is required.
  • Associates degree or higher is preferred, but not required.
  • 3 years of experience in field service management or a related role, preferably in the defense industry.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems troubleshooting
  • IPC certification, or willingness to obtain
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and technical knowledge.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel as required to various project sites: CONUS and OCONUS
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
