Principal Process Transformation Engineer
The Principal Process Transformation Engineer will work in a team of process improvement experts
with accountability for delivering on a broad range of projects, varying in risk, size, and complexity,
while aligning to business strategies. The Principal Process Transformation Engineer provides
leadership and direction to achieve business results as well as socializes and creates awareness of
Process Improvement / Transformation methodologies across the Bank. The Principal Process
Transformation Engineer will implement industry-wide process standards, best practices, and overall competitive analysis to achieve process transformation.

The Principal Process Transformation Engineer will lead the design/management of the enterprise
process standards, collaborate with other Process Transformation Engineers on standards, and lead the efforts to clean-up/upload of existing process artifacts into new standards/tool. They will also be responsible for providing leadership to guide process design sessions, working with multiple
stakeholders across a variety of Business Units/Support Functions, and take a leadership role as part of the overall communication regarding Continuous Improvement across CMA.
Position Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage all verbal and written communications with banking regulators.
- Manage process artifact guidelines/standards.
- Manage robust review process (QA/QC) for pro-active enforcement of process standards/guidelines.
- Prepare ongoing Executive communications documents to share progress and findings with Comerica stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with LOB to introduce/reinforce process standards / guidelines
- Develop project-specific content / domain knowledge quickly and actively participate in team problem-solving sessions.
- Gather, model, and analyze data to test hypotheses, identifying trends and key insights.
- Produce presentation materials to summarize findings / recommendations and take part in syndication efforts.
- Monitor and document process changes and measure improvements in efficiency and identify any new bottlenecks.
- Partner with key stakeholders to optimize the solution and achieve a high adoption rate.
- Develop and nurture collaborative working relationships with key internal partners including business teams, various product teams, and enterprise technology organizations.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Business, Finance, or other related degrees OR 10 years of relevant risk experience
- 6 years of experience working on enterprise level business process management solutions (e.g. Pega, Bizagi, Appian, iGrafx, etc.) with the proven ability to assess situations, align and understand company goals and adept at translating strategy into execution. Strong focus on managing relationship with third-party vendors and senior internal stakeholders
- 6 years of experience working with complex banking services like Cash Management & Payments products and the ability to implement them
- 6 years of experience developing detailed program plans and leading implementation, scoping requirements, identifying inefficiencies and advancing operational excellence
- 6 years of experience demonstrating end-to-end enterprise level business process management implementation alongside of enabling systems implementation. Including discovering, mining, documenting, modeling, analyzing, improving, and measuring optimized business processes
- 6 years of experience thinking independently and analytically and make sound recommendations
- 6 years of experience demonstrating excellent writing and verbal communication skills. Ability to engage with senior internal/external stakeholders and to communicate complex topics into easy-to-understand messages
- 3 years of experience in banking, capital markets, or financial services organizations and the regulatory environment (preferred)
Work Best Category: Category C - Days in the office will either be designated days or will vary week to week from 2-5 days
Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday, this position includes both onsite and remote work
