Primary Purpose of the Organization: |
The Fayetteville State University (
FSU) Ticket Office and Seabrook Auditorium fall under the organizational structure of the Campus Enterprise within the Chief Operations Officer. The Ticket Office is the primary administrative focus for implementing and operating the University's Consolidated Ticket Event Program. The University's Ticket Office was designed to serve as the central control system for planning, coordinating, and supervising various ticketed events for the University. At a minimum, this includes all alumni and athletes. Drama, Lecture, and Student Affairs events are held on the University Campus.
Seabrook Auditorium is the primary space on campus for hosting events for university departments, external clients, and vendors. Event management and facility oversight are essential for Seabrook Auditorium because it was designed to promote educational arts and entertainment for the university and community. This position requires working occasional nights and weekends. |
Primary Purpose of the Position: |
The Ticket Office and University Auditorium Manager position serves in a managerial capacity and is responsible for the successful operation of the University Ticket Office and Seabrook Auditorium. Work in this class involves managing, planning, coordinating, and supervising the continuous disbursement and distribution of a large volume of tickets for all events sponsored or participated in on the campus of Fayetteville State University and managing the overall operation, maintenance, and coordination of the University's auditorium facilities.
The Ticket Office and Seabrook Auditorium manager is accountable the conferring with various entities concerning the number and categories of tickets to be printed: answering inquiries concerning the allocation and availability of tickets and seat assignments: maintaining records ticket transactions: planning, assigning and supervising lower-level personnel in the day-to-day operations. This position is also responsible for facility oversight, customer service, and event management to ensure the successful execution of events in the auditorium. Work is reviewed by analyzing written reports, budget reports, sales, event volume, and financial statements. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: |
Bachelor's degree and one year of related work experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |
Knowledge skills and abilities: |
Knowledge:
Event Management: Understanding of event planning, coordination, and execution.
Customer Service: Knowledge of best practices in customer service and experience.
Ticketing Systems: Familiarity with various ticketing software and systems.
Financial Management: Basic budgeting, financial reporting, and revenue management knowledge.
Marketing and Promotion: Understanding of marketing strategies and promotional activities.

Organizational: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple events and tasks simultaneously.
